Stage I
7:30 am – Mountain Bike Rally from Bhanu Bhawan to Tiger Hill. Flag off by Padma Shri. Jadav Payeng, raising awareness about zero carbon emission.
Stage II
Plantation by Padma Shri. Jadav Payeng – The Forest Man of India at Tiger Hill
Stage III
Felicitation to Chief guest and three local heroes at St. Joseph’s School, Darjeeling.
The Three unknown environmental heroes who got recognized were – Mr.Bishnu Thapa, Mr.Utsow Pradhan and Mrs.Pemala Alay .
Mr.Bishnu Thapa- A teacher by profession and an environmentalist by nature, on a mission to rejuvenate the natural springs and streams of Darjeeling.
Mr.Utsow Pradhan – The founder of TIEEDI Forest Garden who have practically came up with multiple Solution to fight against plastic Pollution and waste manage through the technique of Permaculture Design Course.
Mrs.Pemala Alay – Started Darjeeling Montessori House of Children School on 2015, her education technique encourages children to undergo experiential learning and believes in nurturing them towards becoming better human beings.
